New Chair Announced

LHC are very happy to announce our new Chair-Woman

....albeit a month late!

If you sadly missed this year’s Dinner Dance, club email or AGM – not to mention the ice-cream and mountains of post-Charlies food – you may have missed the news that Jon Elburn is stepping down after four years of being Chair of the club.

Whilst this is sad news for many across the club, Jon’s replacement is the rather wonderful Sophie Dudgeon who has been a huge part of LHC for over 20-years – huzzah! Joining the club in the 1990’s when she moved to the area for her first teaching job, Sophie has captained the Ladies 1st Team on a number of occasions and still loves playing on a weekly basis.

A few words from the new Chair:

I am passionate about the club and everything it stands for, and blessed with the friendships it has provided and continues to do so, and therefore it is a privilege to take over the role of Chair... I hope to see many of you over the next few months and I urge you all to play your part in promoting and supporting the Club.

You’ll have hopefully seen Sophie at one of our club events or down at training, but if you’re yet to say hello, don’t be shy!
