Leatherhead Hockey Club Awarded England Hockey Clubmark Accreditation

Leatherhead Hockey Club Awarded England Hockey Clubmark Accreditation
13/11/2025 – 13/11/2028

On 13th November 2025, Leatherhead Hockey Club became one of a select number of hockey clubs across England to be awarded England Hockey’s Clubmark Accreditation. Having submitted evidence of practice, policies and procedures that were subject to review by England Hockey, and following an assessment through a nominated officer visit, this Kitemark demonstrates that the club operates in line with or above a set of minimum operating standards as set out by the sport’s governing body. These 16 standards are set out under the following 6 headings:

  1. Leadership
  2. People
  3. Ways to Play
  4. Social
  5. Local Community
  6. Stretching & Development

The process of achieving this accreditation has enabled the club to reflect on and develop its operating procedures and to put in place strategic plans for development over the coming three year period. This accreditation will prove a valuable foundation in guiding the club’s future, and in demonstrating the club’s good practice to existing and potential members and other agencies (e.g. grant giving bodies).

In confirming the accreditation, which lasts for three years from 13/11/2025 – 13/11/2028, Rich Beer (Chief Executive of England Hockey) congratulated the club, and stated that “Achieving the England Hockey Clubmark is an important step in ensuring the club operates to a set of core criteria and has good practices in place to ensure that the club can deliver quality hockey in a sustainable and vibrant club environment”.
